This resort is one
of the best tourist attractions of Capiz which the Municipality of Dumalag
had. The word "suhot" was derived from a Capiz' term which means
"under go". It was adopted as the primary name of the resort because
of its natural underground space known as cave which is large enough for a
human to under go with. This earthly structured cave was made up of great
formation of rocks inside and it is very is attractive for the eye of whoever can
see it.
Aside from its cave, the main and best asset of the resort was its cool spring water produced by the Mt. Panginharo-on of Brgy. Dolores, a place where the resort was located. The coolness of this spring never faded even in a high or low temperature. That is why more visitors are obliged to visit the place especially during hot season because of this very refreshing water. The resort was then considered as one of the most visited spot in the Province of Capiz during summer season.
